Santa Cruz Wharf Master Plan Final Environmental Report (FEIR)

The City of Santa Cruz Economic Development Department has completed a Final EIR for the Santa Cruz Wharf Master Plan. The EIR and the Master Plan will be considered by the Planning Commission on October 1, 2020 at 7:00 PM

In order to minimize exposure to COVID-19 and to comply with social distancing requirements, the Council Chambers will not be open to the public. Directions on how to watch, listen, and participate in the meeting can be found on the Planning Commission web page. The Agenda for the October 1, 2020 Planning Commission meeting will be posted by 12 PM on Friday, September 28, 2020.

The EIR and the Master Plan will be considered by the City Council at future meetings, the dates of which have not yet been determined.

Project Title: Santa Cruz Wharf Master Plan

Project Location/Address: Santa Cruz Wharf at Beach Street

Project Description: The project consists of adoption and implementation of the Santa Cruz Wharf Master Plan and construction of the two following projects recommended in the Master Plan within 2 to 5 years: Entry Gate Relocation and the East Promenade Renovation. The Wharf Master Plan includes policies and actions, recommendations for Wharf expansion, including new construction and improvements, circulation/parking improvements, and design standards for buildings on the wharf. This Draft EIR considers the impacts of both the implementation of the Wharf Master Plan, as well as construction of the first two projects to be implemented pursuant to the Plan—the Entry Gate Relocation and the East Promenade.
