City Receives CAL FIRE Grant for NetCom Wildfire Project

The City of Santa Cruz has received a 2026–2027 CAL FIRE Wildfire Prevention Grant to reduce wildfire risk around Santa Cruz Regional 911 (NetCom), the Emergency Operations Center, Water Department infrastructure, and nearby neighborhoods. Work begins July 27 in DeLaveaga Park to improve public safety, protect critical infrastructure, and strengthen community resilience.

The City of Santa Cruz and Santa Cruz BCycle are proud to announce our one millionth bike share ride since launching the program in June 2023! Together we’ve kept 2,181,956 pounds of greenhouse gases out of Santa Cruz.
