2026 Woodies on the Wharf

The City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Department and the Santa Cruz Woodie Club are ready to kick off summer in Santa Cruz once again!

This year marks the 30th Annual Event! Come down and enjoy the sunshine, support the Local Wharf Businesses, win some raffle prizes, a scavenger hunt for kids 12 and under, and appreciate the classic wooden cars!

Parking will be limited during the event. We encourage you to walk, get dropped off, utilize the Santa Cruzer Beach & Downtown Shuttle for $1, or bike to the Wharf. A FREE bike valet will be available during the event and it will be located behind Santa Cruz Boat Rentals!

Come to the Common's Stage and enjoy hula performances by Kūhai Hālau O Mehanakealohakalaua'eikapoli Pā 'Ōlapa Kahiko at 11:30am and Te Hau Nui School of Hula and Tahitian Dance at 1:30pm.

Everyone's favorite is the Woodie Parade off the Wharf which begins promptly at 3:30 P.M. after the Awards Ceremony. You won't want to miss this send off!

Attention Fishermen

Fishing access will be restricted from 8AM - 3:30PM. Please note that fishing or crabbing will not be permitted in the event area or bike valet area located behind Santa Cruz Boat Rentals. Signs will be posted 72 hours in advance in the locations that fishing is not permitted. You may fish on the Wharf approach, the Commons, and the south end of the Wharf. Thank you for your cooperation during this event.
