Surfing Museum 40th Anniversary & Keepers of the Light Celebration

Community generosity shines bright!
Thanks to widespread support, more than $90,000 has been raised to restore the lamp at the Mark Abbott Memorial Lighthouse. These contributions are now invested with the Community Foundation to ensure the continued preservation and care of this iconic Santa Cruz landmark for years to come.

We invite you to join us on September 26 for a special celebration of the lighthouse’s renewed beacon and the 40th anniversary of the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum. During the event, we will also officially unveil the new Keepers of the Light plaque honoring those who helped make this restoration possible.
