Smell the Roses

We have some fun adventures planned on both Tuesdays and Thursdays for people who are looking to get some exercise and make new friends while enjoying the beauty of Santa Cruz! Walks meet at 9:30 am and aim to return by 11:30 am.

Tuesdays - Enjoy a leisurely walk of a different area each week. The intention of this group is to get outside, move our body, and enjoy nature unfolding.

December 2nd: Meet at LightSpeed Martial Arts Academy

Lodato Park Loop, 1.3 miles**:

Come see some of the most majestic redwood tree trunks in the forest! Lodato Trail used to be just beyond a backyard full of wooden sculptures. Unfortunately, they aren't there anymore but the trail is still stunning. Leashed dogs welcome. Approx. 300ft elevation gain. 1.3 miles. Please parks meet behind the parking lot for LightSpeed Martial Arts Academy located at 1800 Green Hills Rd, Unit 113, Scotts Valley, CA 95066

December 9th: Meet at LNCC

Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf Walk, 1.78 miles:
Meet at the front steps of London Nelson Community Center, we will walk to down to the Wharf and back to the Center, stopping by Firefly Cafe for coffee and a chat. Approx. 67ft elevation gain.

December 16th: Meet at West Glenwood Preserve
Glenwood East Reserve - Red Loop, 1.8 miles:
Park in the parking lot for the West Glenwood Preserve located at 350 Glenwood Drive. Parking is roughly 100 yards from each entrances. Dirt paths and leashed dogs area welcome. We will be walking the Red Loop. Approx. 187ft elevation gain.

December 23rd:

Please go on walks that feel comfortable for you within the corresponding parameters.

No asterisk means the walk is less than 100 ft elevation gain.
