I am running for Santa Cruz City Council District 4 to ensure Santa Cruzans are fairly represented and that working families have a stronger voice in local government.
As a public school educator at Harbor High School, I work with our youth every day and see firsthand the challenges facing working families. Being on the ground with our students shows the importance of building a future where Santa Cruzans and future generations can afford to live and thrive in our city.
I previously served as an alternate delegate advocating for community-driven solutions and strong civic engagement.
I also serve as a commissioner on the Circle on Anti-Racism, Economic and Social Justice, where we helped pass a countywide equity framework to guide fair and inclusive policy decisions. As a former AFSCME 3299 union organizer, I worked alongside service workers to advocate for dignity, fair wages, and respect for working people.
I believe in collaborative local governance that prioritizes sustainable solutions for housing and mental health while responsibly addressing our city’s budget challenges. By putting Community First—Affordable Santa Cruz, Protect What We Love, and a Clean, Safe, and Inclusive Downtown—we can bring fresh ideas and strong community representation to the Santa Cruz City Council.
I would be humbled to receive your support.
