Significant Projects: Citywide Interest

Not all projects are the same. We use the terms "significant" to identify projects of citywide interest and "large" for projects with 25 or more new housing units or over 25,000 square feet of commercial. What is the Application Status Today?

If you are interested in the status of any submitted applications, all you need is the project address or project number, and you can search the application status in eTRAKiT.

Is this property in the City of Santa Cruz?

To help expedite your property concern, it's important to report it to the right jurisdiction. Use our Zoning and Land Use page to search for the property and see if it is in the City limits. If your property is not in the City, but the County of Santa Cruz, you can submit your complaint through the County's online system.

How can I find out when a new building/project is being proposed?

Join the mailing list to stay up to date on current projects. If you are interested in planning and community development you will want to sign up for mailing list of the following advisory bodies: Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, Zoning Administrator, and City Council.
